Description: #Ignite, Innovate, Inspire District Level Chess Tournament, 2024 @ WPPPUC. Chess, often hailed as the game of intellect strategy, and decision-making. Department of School Education along with WIDIA POORNA PRAJNA PU COLLEGE hosted the Bangalore North District Level Chess Competition for boys and girls on 19 August, 2024, Monday. This event, eagerly anticipated by chess enthusiasts, brought together students from different college. The event was inugrated by Mr. N. Raju, Deputy Director, School Education Department PU, Bangalore North District, in presence of Mr. Gopal Shabaraya Secretary - WPPS WPPPUC, Mr. G.V. Krishna, Treasurer USMEC and Joint Secretary, Widia Poorna Prajna PU College, Shri Muralidhar M.Sports Coordinator, Bangalore North District, Dr. Girish Gola ,Associate Sports Coordinator, Mr.M.N. Umesh Kumar Principal, WPPPUC, Mr. Praveen Kumar. PB, Academic Director, WPPPUC. Students not only showcased their chess skills but also embodied the values of sportsmanship.And we are proud to announce that our student Tejashree.D of II PCMB, combination has bagged 2nd place and has been selected for State level chess competition.
